I wanna get into other martial art styles, i did Shotokon / Kyokushin karate for like 5 years.

LOL Karate doesn't teach you jack shit. You see all these kids say "Don't mess with me I'm a black belt in Karate/Taekwondo/Hapkido/Aikido/Kungfu/Krav Maga/etc (pick one)" and they get wrecked in a street fight.

The only martial arts that actually help in a street fight are;

Sambo
Brazillian Ju-jitsu
Japanese Ju-jitsu
Judo
Wrestling
Muay Thai
Kickboxing
Boxing

The rest are based on old ass shit and they are not street effective. They give kids fake hope and confidence. Sorry to burst your bubble but you don't know shit on how to fight. (srs)

my gf is doing kick boxing and they teach muay thai there too so i'm seriously considering signing up soon! idk which one yet though. Probably Muay Thai..

But if you watch ufc you'd know that GSP did that kindashyou karate ( my bad for spelling ) and he is champion and only lost 2fights and came back to beat them both sooo my gusse is that guy does know how to fight.

GSP also has the best ground game and wrestling in his weight division. He also practices Muay Thai and Kickboxing...

i suggest muay thai. in kickboxing they only teach you to punch and kick, in muay thai they teach you to punch,kick,elbow,and knee. doesnt seem like much but it elbows and knees fuck shit up.

Lack discipline? I've taken boxing for many years. I also trained in BJJ and wrestling for a couple of months.

You know how I know Karate is bullshit? Walk into your local Karate dojo and you see little 6 year old kids with 2nd degree black belts...

Apparently you don't get my point. What I'm saying is that they give ANYONE a black belt in karate when they have no real skill. It's so easy even a 6 year old can get a black belt.

In BJJ on the other hand, it takes years and years to achieve a black belt or even a blue belt (first belt you get in BJJ).

Karates slogan should be "So easy even a caveman can do it"

If you read what I said, I said i have done karate but want to do other styles, and yea i do agree with you to some degree because i know a few kids that act like they are tough shit when they get their first belt but that doesn't mean everyone that does it is a douche... so calm down tiger. Also, the video you posted is fucking gay, a bunch of chinks trying to "show off" in a demo (they do gay ass stunts, that doesnt mean anything), but every style is about interpretation, its not like you are only going to use what you learn in a street fight, its about using what you learn with actually knowing how to fight, soooo....
