post your reply to which you think is better? i've gotta go with halo 3. dont just say because it looks cool. accutally give a decent reason:

ex: halo 3 was better gameplay, then gow2, but gow2 has better graphics, on the otherhand they both have a basic story line, aliens invade the planet.

i'd say halo 3.

By going off sales, Halo 3 is better. Haven't played Gears Of War 2 but I remember playing Halo and loving every second of it. I loved the first one the best because of the pistol. Pistol was too strong but loved it.

Halo 3 online got super boring.
While Gears of war 2 was extremely fun co-op..never played the online.

And every time someone brings this up on youtube every 11 year old has to chime in with something like

"lolu stupid fucking nerd halo3 fking pwns gow geta life you fkin homos lol"

Which makes me support gow2 even more..

Actually depending on your skill level Halo 3 is much more tactical then GoW 2. All you have to do in GoW 2 is 2 piece people(shotgun + melee = bullshit)

In Halo the weapons are far more balanced and play on each others weaknesses

I loved GoW1. GoW 2 was just bad. It was so fucking arrogant of EPIC Games to change the things that didn't need to be changed. Like the Hammerburst use to shoot 3 round burst and was more effective then that semi-automatic shit. Also the story line was terrible and full of holes.

Halo 3 has solid multiplayer and a interestng complete story line.

My vote goes to Halo 3(clearly)

I play both games often, i liked gow1 a lot more than halo 3, but when gow2 came out i tried it and it's completely different than gow1, epic games ruined it, gears 1 multiplayer was really good and gow2 is just really slow-paced. my vote goes to halo 3.

I actually agree that Gears 2 ruined the little franchise. But Gears 1 dominated. I played that game for 2 years straight, I still play a little from time to time too.

Halo was the winner when the first gears was thought of. How long is it gonna last. Halo 3's multiplayer is one of the best things to have happened to online play. The combination of the great ranking system, the very changeable forge mode, and custom game making, hands-down winner goes to halo 3.

I play both gow 2 and halo 3, and I've got to say, I like gears of war a lot more than halo 3. I like both online experiences, but in terms of the game play in and of itself, I feel more comfortable and have more fun in gears

And GoW2 has an advantage over Halo 3 being released so much later. This argument is pointless and will continue to repeat itself, especially because we are dealing with the Xbox Live Community. Everyone and anyone knows that the Xbox Live Community especially the Halo 3 Community is full of assholes, and jerks, that their world is Halo and if they are not owning and telling everyone they are owning, then they are complaining about how everyone who kills them is hacking.

Really, I can't stand Halo 3. I take both Gears 1 and 2 over it. Halo 1 FTW. And 2 was pretty good. But what gets me mad, is to enjoy any of the games online, you have to play it like crazy and completely rape at it. So I just prefer playing campaign/with friends. Not people that spend most of their time on Xbox Live. And beat my ass online
