5 : I was in the server and a hacker came in. He was using a speed hack and mowing our whole team down ruining the game. I went to spectator mode and I was able to get his steam id and demo. I tried
to reach an admin but no one was available. I really like the server and I am glad to be able to help OWNAGEPRANKS stay a clean and reliable server.






Counter Strike Source: Demo Recording.
In counter strike source which should be on your desktop as a short cut, click on it and let it load.



**** if you haven't enable the ~ key for console, go to your options menu, go to keyboard, then go to advanced, then you will see enable fast weapon switch (if you wana enable that your scroll wheel on your mouse will switch between weapons), and then it says Enable Developer console (~), click on that and save it.African American



Your demos will be stored in the following folder. C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\yoursteamaccount\counter-strike source\cstrike. they will have this extension .dem, if. If you need to rename it you can right click the file and change the name not the extension.

Below are the basic commands to record, stop, and view:

Recording a demo requires the following:
1. Press the ~ key that will enable console.
2. In console type " record hackernamehere " with no spaces for the name. Just one space between the name and record. Otherwise, it will not record anything at all and you just wasted your time.
3. While in console type status and find their Steam id, it will be located to the right of their name to find it easily. Either copy and paste it or go back in and review the demo to submit for the ban.
4. To stop the recording you type stop, no less no more just stop.

Playing the demo:
1. get out of the game, type disconnect in the console.
2. Type demoui and it will bring up this window for your use

3. Press LOAD and then find the demo name of the particular player/hacker and press play to watch it.
