The first game was so fucking awesome but it didnt have enough enemies. The game was like "HEY DUDE CHECK OUT THIS NEW HELLA COOL BOOMERANG COMBO YOU JUST LEARNED!" and I was all like AWESOME but the game was like "GL FINDING ENEMIES FAGGOT!" and then abandoned me for hungry orphans to feed on.
Cant wait for the sequel though.
With 7 villains confirmed, and 2 more hinted by the trailer, and 3 hinted by the first game, and the fact the Arkham City combined the Asylum and Black gate, enemies wont be a problem
Funny thing is, whenever I hear the name arkham asylum I laugh
cuz in Egyptian Arabic, arkham means "most annoying" derived from "rekhem" which means annoying. So my friends and I call this game "arkham asylum feldonya Dee kollaha" meaning "the most annoying asylum in this whole wide world"
Sorry, i got these pics from someone with a bad scanner
More pics to come
Story details are (Again, not a lot):
- Quincy Sharp is no running for mayor.
- Arkham Asylum and Black Gate Prison are unfit to hold inmates.
- Quincy Sharp buys off part of the slums and walls it off, creating Arkham City.
- Hugo Strange is in charge of Arkham City.
- Two-Face plans to execute Catwoman to gain respect of inmates.
- The overdose of venom may not be what's wrong with the Joker.
Gameplay details are (These are only a little bit of them):
- You are now able to counter two attacks at once.
- More puzzles
- All gadgets included in the first game are available from the start.
- Side missions now feature in the game.
- Gangs roam Arkham City, these are recorded in Batman's criminal database.
- You find people who work for Riddler to find Riddler challenges.
- Batman has his smoke bomb
To make a long story short: t takes place 1 year after the events of AA and Quincy Sharp has taking credit for stopping the joker at arkham asylum.Sharp buys up a large swath of gotham;s slums and walls it off, stocking the perimter with highly trained armed mercenaries from an outfit named Tyger. all prisoners are transported to this new facility dubbed "arkham city" There is only one rule in AC under threat of death - Don't try to escape ( so these criminals and super villians are free to roam AC with no rules or laws.
Batman has been watching AC for months and has been looking for an excuse to get inside the prison, Recently admitted Two face needs to get respect in the city, so he decides to do that by kidnapping catwoman and publicly executing her, that's batman's cue, and that's the beginning of the game.
there is mention of Zsasz and it says he will have a long line of side missions. it says "we have a number of these stories, which are linked to key characters and their stories within arkham city. You obviously have the main story that runs through but you have these parallel side stories. If you want to jump in and find out about those, they're optional but they're all really worthwhile."
P.S: Alfred is in the game, and will take on the role of Oracle, as she has gone missing.:
EDIT: "One major element that Rocksteady wants to explore is the order that forms out of complete lawlessness within the walls of arkham city. High-profile villains like Joker and Two Face have already recruited many prisoners to their divergent causes. "Inmates are now seeking protection by joining gangs, which inevitably means becoming part of the turf war and everything that is caught up with being a gang member in a broader power struggle" says Rocksteady marketing game manager Dax Ginn. How these various factions and territories work into gameplay is anyone's guess, but players can keep track of these gangs through Batman's criminal database. Maybe he can try to play different sides against each other or take them down one by one and start his own army." So i guess batman can fight in gang wars.
