I just dropped a decent amount of money on a 20 Gallon fish tank.
I filled it up with water, set up the filter/heater/light. I was told I need to wait a week for the Bacteria to develop. I was told by someone that I need to buy some special drops to put in the aquarium
The only drops I have currently is the "Aqua Safe" by tetra aqua
"Neutralizes chlorine, chloramines, and heavy metals harmful to fish
Enhances natural, protective slime coating of fish
Complete formula works in seconds."
Is there anything else I need to start the process of bringing fish into my aquarium?

All I ever put in mine was the aqua safe stuff.
You should have a little ship or cave or something the fish can hide in, I had one and there was always one fish that would hang out in there.

I'd recommend some real plants. before I got rid of all my tanks we used to have a pretty decent amount and the fish loved them. Pieces of shale and maybe rocks or some kinds of dry wood (cant think of the exact name of the kind we used but it was basically really nice small-ish logs) and If you decide to just get a Cichlid make sure you get lots of shelter-like decorations in your tank (real or fake doesnt rly matter)
you should get a pirate ship and the treasure chest from finding nemo that opens and bubbles come out.
I never turned on the light in mine. Whenver I did, the fish would freak out like motherfuckers.
