What the fuck is this??

This started a couple days ago. Whenever I turned my computer on It gave me this screen. The little white line flashes, though. Can anyone explain wtf it is? Also, when I press ALT+CTRL+Delete, it went back to normal. Just wondering what it is, dont wanna risk anything. And btw it fills the whole screen, I just made a smaller version of it.

Well it says HP blah blah shit.
Then it goes to this screen. When I press the altcrtl thingy it then takes me to the windows XP loading screen shit

Something's weird with your bootloader. ctl+alt+del basically does a soft reset so it must be fine on the second go-around or something.

It's a problem with your drivers being read in the boot up of the OS, most likely.

if it is really bothering you, then back up your shit and reformat your hard drive, or google it on how to fix it but im not sure if googling is gonna fix anything

This used to happen on my hp tower too, it will go away as soon as you hit enter or w/e, it can happen if you have usb flash drives/mp3 players plugged in sometimes as well(happens to my netpad all the time when i have the flash drive plugged into it to watch stuff on my tv and i forget to unplug it)

No linux can be really good if you know how to use it, It is just not practical to have unless you can take the time to fix issues and have knowledge of how the system works, linux IS, and always will be the most secure out of any of the operating systems, that's why most hospitals use it to store there information safely.

I do not recommend it however as is is not practical for home use.

I don't recommend Mac's or a BSD based os ether since the support for it is just not in place for most hardware/software/online sites. Video and Audio Great!... everything else... Meh :\
