Hey guys, so here's the deal, my router is a Siemens Gigaset SE567, and I have had it for a couple years and it's just now randomly shutting off the 'Internet' and 'DSL' lights and it stops feeding internet and I don't know if I should worry or just get new one or if it is even my router that is causing this problem.
    Any Idea's?

Buy a new one. It's probably burned out from all the terabytes of porn going through it.

According to portforward.com on the Siemens Gigaset by default the ip address should be set to 192.168.1.254
You can check the settings on the router, not fully familiar with this brand so I cant tell you much more than that.

The average lifespan of a router is 2-3 years so you might need to get a new one
Have you done a factory reset(if possible)? sometimes doing that will fix the issue.... for a short time at least. there shood be a small reset button of the back side of the router about the size of a pen tip, hold it down for 30 seconds and it shood reset, you will need to setup your router with your dsl configuration if you have a Static or PPPoE connection if it DHCP it shood connect automatically
if the dsl light on your router is going off it may be a problem with the modem or a connectivity issue with your dsl provider have you talked to them yet?
Next time it happens see what the lights on your modem are doing if the dsl light is out or blinking it is likely a problem with your modem or your Internet Service Provider
if not try connecting your computer directly to your modem for a day and see if you lose the connection
if not it is your router.
allso Try to change the Rj11 cable(telephone cord) going from the phone jack to the modem, sometimes they go bad and can cause intermittent sync and lose of connection.
How often does it kick out?
If you can get me the infomation i may be able to help out

Yes you helped very much, I called them a few days ago but they said they couldn't find my house, they said it was the land lines or something. After they came by they said it shouldn't disconnect anymore, but it did, so I reset my router like you said and so far it hasn't disconnected.

    Thank's kirby.
