    I like Gears a lot but like 2 imo was horrible and really ruined the series for me. HOWEVER they seem to have learned from their mistakes and I think Gears 3 will be ok so I'm probably going to buy/preorder a limited edition or something.

    I just watched the trailer for it, it looks pretty good. I think the series is an Xbox only thing, so I'll just go over to Toasterz house, and we can play.

    I'm gonna get it but like Toasterz said they fucked up Gears 2 bad. I just want it to play through the storyline. If the multiplayer is good then I'll be satisfied.

    I'll be honest, I liked Gears 2's multiplayer a tad bit more than 1's. It just made me feel more at home with the gameplay, if that makes any sense. Gears 1 was still really sick though, I just prefer Gears 2 a little bit more (Especially with TU6! Gears has never been better!) .Hopefully in Gears 3 they take what was good about both games and put them together, while also bringing fresh new gameplay elements.

    The only thing I was a big fan of gears of war 2 was horde. On xbox live with a bunch of friends I would spend numerous hours trying to get to wave 50 when the game first came out haha.

    Sequels in general aren't very good (at least the ones I've played). Take crackdown 2 for example. I loved the original crackdown, probably spent 20+ hours playing on xbox live with some friends. When crackdown 2 was released I was so excited that I actually went to wal-mart and bought it at midnight. Played through it for a few hours and haven't really touched it for more than 20 minutes here and there. Some of that could be me just growing out of video games, but still if a game is fun I can spend numerous hours on it at a time.

    Anyways back to gears, I haven't really watched anything or heard anything about gears of war 3. I hope it's a good game though, and can be compared to the first one.

    tl;dr
    Sequels suck a lot, in my opinion, hope this new gears is good stuff.
