    Default Can OP handle debates and serious discussions?

    Well, on this one forum I saw, there was a sub forum under General Discussion called "Serious Discussions". It was for debates and such. I know a small portion of OP is intelligent enough to participate in those debates. But the other portion it ruins it for them by trolling and posting stupid replies in good threads. Maybe if you make a sub forum for serious debates and make the rules extremely strict in that sub forum and bump up the minimum word count to about 30 or 40?

    I don't know if this makes sense, I'm half asleep right now and really thought this was a good idea.

    We had a forum when OP was originally up called the "Flaming and Ranting Forum". It was just a huge pile of trolling and flaming and it always got way out of hand too quickly.

    Point is, on the internet there is always someone that thinks that he or she is funny and posts something stupid with the hopes of getting a rise out of the rest. Unfortunately, 99% of the time these people aren't funny and ruin it for everyone else.

    Yes, I agree that there is a small population on these forums that could handle it, however there is a very frequent problem here, and it's the lack of knowledge that people have of topics that they are trying to contribute to.

    It just ends in overall fail. My 2 cents.
