Gahh hshiufhuiesahlfieueh so 8th grade simple shit, just wondering if the Ownage Pranks community had any good ideas to contribute.

I have to write an essay about how the media impacts people. Most people went the negative root, "television/internet/video games are bad blahh" because it was simple to find evidence that supports this.. so I decided to be different and write about the positive effects.

Does anyone have any good points I should include in my essay? It's pretty basic... my main focuses are television and video games.

Say how online communities are good because they get people to socialize and tv is good because it keeps people out of trouble

Television- News networks try to say what their watchers want to hear, essentially patting the viewer on the back over and over by agreeing with their viewpoints. Sort of how you generally get along with someone who shares the same viewpoints as you. Impact being is that we only see and hear what we want and thats what we get. You can throw that positive and negative depending on how you twist it.

I LOVE ALEXX, SHE IS THE BEST PERSON EVER IN MY LIFE AND SHE IS BEAUTIFUL AND SHE GIVES ME BUTTERFLIES AND SHE SMELLS GOOD AND I LIKE THE WAY SHE EATS AND I LIKE HER HAIR AND STUFF.

they offer hours upon hours of entertainment?.... i actually saw this story about how games like GTA help some sort of reaction in the eyes and can decrease word search completion times, but that's not a very strong point....

    ^That is good.
Maybe, make a reference to how social networking builds a sense of community in a young teenager that maybe be deprived of because of things like up brining and where a person grows up. Also, you could talk about how the internet connects people to things they would have otherwise never discovered; music, culture, art etc.

    Hope that helped.

I can see how that would be positive or negative.. but I think any way I would phrase it would come out negative. lol

I like this point a lot.

The only problem with this essay is I can't really write anything that I don't have a book or some source to back up, which is fucking stupid...

Maybe talk about how you can get the latest news within a fraction of seconds.
Also how films and documentaries revolving around social issues increase a social awareness in children and develop their concern towards society.

honestly.. your probably better going for the negetive route.. always far better points to prove..

id go for something like the negetive impact on teenagers from the media.. or the impact on celebrity life styles.. easy to find stuff.. and the points you can make are a lot better

Grade school essays are so easy to BS. The #1 thing to include is tons of details. Teachers could care less about how you write. As long as you have a buttload of details its fine.
