I honestly cried after watching this several times.
I have yet to read the book, but I heard it is incredible, and I'm beyond excited for the movie.
God I'm excited to see this.
For both girls and boys, i can almost guarantee this will be an amazing movie.
I am gay, except for Alex, I'd hit it.
i cried till the end ;(
Just another fucking Chick Flick.
I can't wait to see this with my boys
hmm.. another nicolas sparks movie
generally are always good.. and he wrote one of my favorite movies too.. so i probably will give this a chance, and for all the people that think this is just a chick flick and nothing else, half the movies you watch all the time have some sort of romance in them, you just dont treat them like this because they're not treated as chick flicks..
people really gotta learn that flashy lights and CGI arent what makes movies, i really fear for the future of cinematography..
Who said a movie has to have CGI?
Seriously dude, you can tell by the nature of the movie that it's a chick flick. Its the typical "Romeo and Juliet" movie, where girls fall in love with the character which represents all the good qualities they want in a man. It's ridiculous. Good Movies have great plots, great actors, great directors, and great shots, of which all are evident in movies like "The Godfather", "Scarface", and "The 6th Sense".
This Movie? Its like all the other Love Stories, the storyline is predictable and boring. The Characters, especially the lead Male Actor, all possess qualities almost non-existent in the real world, and the whole; "I love you so much, I die! RAHHH" -Stab in chest- ; is boring. When will a REAL movie come out? I fear that we are headed towards a future of Bad Plots, CGI, and horrible directors....
umm.. i never said movies had to have CGI.. i said exactly the opposite.. that too many movies depend on it, and the storys are generally average..
and i agree that most romance movies.. generally romantic comedies.. have crap story lines and scripting, but nicolas sparks stories are generally great, and the characters are solid and actually seem human, especially a walk to remember and the notebook, they were 2 of few movies that you can say are just as good as the books
although with this dear john movie.. im not too sure of the female actor.. ill always remember her as the annoying, dumb chick from mean girls, and the girl that gets killed in veronica mars.. wouldnt have personally picked her myself as a lead role
that movie has absolutely nothing original.
Just another love story.
I'm excited to see it![]()

THREAD TAKEN OVER BY THE A-TEAM.
i just finished the book. it was good, but not as good as the other nicholas sparks books ive read (message in a bottle and the lucky one). i didnt even cry - i almost cried once, but i was in class and that would ruin my hardcore bitch reputation. also, the climax was lamely sudden and random.
im gonna go see it anyways even though movies always ruin books.
p.s. channing tatum, yum.
its gonna be bad.
Yes, it is far too large....
Looks really bad. (Dear john shit not The A-Team)
