How to get rid of this...help..plzzzz
I have a paranoid mon.Earlier tonight she installed this windows live internet tracker thing on my computer along with a keylogger on BOTH my hard drives, windows XP and windows 7. She actually blocked all Internet access on XP, and this made me mad. She wants me to use windows 7 when mynvidia drive crashes every 10 minutes so I can't play games and all I can do on XP is play battlefiel 2142. My main question is why would my mom do this? And should I do something or just accept it? Anyone know how to uninstall the dame software?I have tried but failed.Help,plz...

If you know the name of the keylogger you could probably stop it in system processes but i wouldnt do that all the time because if u were on ur computer and nothing showed up for her she might get suspicious

I remember when this happened to someone. It was a huge story in the news. The kid found out that his mom had installed a keylogger and started typing things in like "how to kill my mom" in google and made searches for similar things.
Now THAT would be bad news.
EDIT: To uninstall it go to add/remove programs and just hit uninstall but you're going to need a password that she created and your mom will notice instantly that no files are being logged. Best course of action, cut a deal with her. Propose that If you're good and she sees that you're being good and doing what she wants for a month then it gets taken off of your computer. Probably all you can do.

The easiest way is to delete system 32 it will remove the keylogger and send her a fake log every day so she will not become suspicious.

I do really do nothing "special", but she seems to consider it neccessary and call her despotic behave as responsibility and love, it's no way to communicate, so disappoint!!

Lol that sucks. I'd say the best way to go about it is talk with your guys' moms about it in a mature way. Tell her you wish that she would respect your privacy because you respect her privacy so you expect the same in return. You should also throw in a lot of "I understand your position in the situation" They like that cause they think they're getting through to you. And If that doesn't help I'd just wait a bit, only go on sites that she'd approve of and then try again later
