So I recently got a laptop that my aunt gave me she didn't have any disks with it.
It was a Sony Vaio.So it was really messy no viruses or anything so I did a CLEAN WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION INSTALL.I had first downloaded windows xp pro but the drivers didn't work so I installed a legit version. It is the microsoft windows xp home edition sp3 x86 version from september.
I thought the problem was with the pro version but no it seems that this version is also giving me driver problems.
I looked under "manage" device driver and I had a yellow question mark under "other devices" these are all the ones I really need.NETWORK,AUDIO,ETHERNET,MASS STORAGE CONTROLLER,VIDEO CONTROLLER,etc. So I can't access the internet to download them from the Sony site or from a universal site.
I don't know what to do she doesn't have the "drivers disk" or the "recovery disk"
If there is anyone out there that could help me i will appreciate it very much. There is a lot of smart people in these forums I hope to get an answer soon.
You have to download them on another computer, save it to a thumbdrive, and then transfer it.

I downloaded "70,000 drivers for xp"
"Universal XP drivers"
From ISOHUNT,PIRATEBAY
But I'm not sure how to use them plus they all just come with "a0001" and stuff like that.
It was an iso so I burned it to a disc tried to boot, run, unattended, and it still won't work any suggestions?
*sigh*
You need to download the drivers specific for your computer. You have to find your model here:

Try deleting system 32 I hear it helps alot of computer problems and also speeds up your computer because it is a large file.

Many people are misinformed that this is harmful and deletes critical windows files. It does, but heres the catch, after you delete your system32 folder, promptly restart your computer and the files will be recreated by windows newly. It essentially reformats your computer without requiring you to reformat.
I LOVE ALEXX, SHE IS THE BEST PERSON EVER IN MY LIFE AND SHE IS BEAUTIFUL AND SHE GIVES ME BUTTERFLIES AND SHE SMELLS GOOD AND I LIKE THE WAY SHE EATS AND I LIKE HER HAIR AND STUFF.
Yeah I did that too!! On my older computer after I installed WoW my computer wasn't running as well! so i deleted the system32 folder and it helped so much!
