OwnagePranks V.I.P Scheduled To Be Released Sat 7/12-UPDATED
UPDATE 2: VIP was completely ready on 7/5, but the payment gateway was being buggy. If I released it, I would manually have to upgrade each person to VIP status, which would be a pain in the ass, and the reason I payed for the software to do this was so that the whole thing could be automated. No worries, I will have it fixed, and once again, I am very sorry about the delay.
UPDATE: It is now Saturday 6/28, and 95% of the V.I.P system has been coded and designed. There are still a few kinks I need to work out, and some small things to implement, so I decided to delay the release til next week. I’d rather release it when it’s fully functional and up to my standards, rather than release something semi-broken, and then fix it as I go. I don’t think anyone will be devastated over this, but I apologize for those who have been awaiting the release of VIP, but I hope you understand where I’m coming from.
I have been working on implementing the OwnagePranks V.I.P service for a several weeks now, and it is almost complete. If all goes as planned, I should be able to release it this Saturday, June 28th, during my live show. I am still trying to think of new features, but VIP will have the following features as of now:
- Access to the VIP Only Forum
- Custom forum user title
- VIP Member Forum Color (Your forum username will be bold and red)
- Special VIP banner next to your name
- VIP Only Prank Archive Access (Pranks too risky for Stickam and pranks that will be exclusiely available to VIP members)
- VIP Prank Request system.. which will have priority over the free request system
- VIP users get bigger profile pic size/Avatar size and less restrictions overall
- VIPs can have moving GIF avatars/images
- VIP and Forum Admin only Ventrilo voice server
The V.I.P monthly access fee helps reduce the overall hosting and server costs. The price is currently at the low rate of just $4.95 a month, with further discounts on 3 and 6 month prepaid purchases. Purchases can be made using PayPal, the safest way to pay online. Regular forum accounts are and always will be free, so be sure to register ASAP at http://forums.ownagepranks.com and start posting! It will be very easy to upgrade your account to VIP when it is released.
You will be able to register a totally new account, or upgrade your current forum account to V.I.P (to maintain your post count and other statistics) When signing up for VIP, you must use your forum account name, the email you signed up on the forum with, and your forum password to be able to upgrade a current account. Make sure you use a legitimate email when signing up on the forums, but you can go back and change the email on file by editing your forum profile. This is done to prevent anybody from upgrading an account on your behalf, and gaining access to the members area with your alias. This will also help you maintain one, uniform username password for everything on OwnagePranks.com

I think the clothing and the “inviting girls to a room privately” are not really good ideas. Sorry. Lame! Must be the ideas of a young 13 yo. or something. I’d definitely like to see more of the 20 and above crowd here. I know you can’t help it, but they can get pretty retarded in the room.
How about something not so obviously “us” versus “them” a.k.a. “haves vs. have-nots” such as
granting access to bloopers. ANother idea is the ability to suggest an overall theme for a show (such as ‘Phone calls that Answer Craig’s List Ads’, or ‘Pranks Are Done in Black, Mexican, and/or Chinese Dialogues’, or ‘Half Hour of Walmart Calls’, or ‘All Calls Must Mention Food Items Somewhere in the Call’, etc.
Maybe a private, 15 minute chit chat session ‘for VIP’s and Ownage only’ is another good idea. VIP’s can be emailed in advance and non-VIP’s will not even know about it. Chats can be about ideas or whatever they/you like.

Yeaya, interesting idea.. kinda hard to implement.
The ventrilo feature is basically 24/7 access to me, other VIP members, and admins. Occasional pranks can be done there as well, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

I have been submitting several request ideas. It’s fun so I have been submitting them. YOu might recognize my same IP for all the requests. Heh!
I also discovered some more ideas for the VIP member benefits that I sorta “borrowed” from other online sites. Check it out.
–Ability to have an increased input in future projects
– Access to additional forum features. (Ability to open/ close own topics, create polls and more…
– Access to certain software, directories, cheats or recommended links
–Option of having your(small) pic posted in a specialized section of Ownage Stickam friends page
– At least one VIP member per week will have the option of being a mod for a particular show. (abuses of this privilege results in cancellation)
– Buy 3 month VIP membership, get one month free

Visa gift cards only work at the machine, because they have to be swiped, instead, I recommend using American Express gift cards, they work for most online purchases. STILL however, Paypal has made an agreement with the companies so that they cannot use ANY gift card with Paypal. The one that I have yet to test is the “Green Dot” card. I have no idea whether that works or not. Have a nice day :).
